Do you have a book you want to publish?

I formed TreeHouse Ink to self-publish Pinky Swear: The Gift of a Lifetime, after thoroughly researching my options - big publishing firms, "niche," vanity or subsidy publishers, book packagers, literary agents and self-publishing. A conscious decision was made to self-publish Pinky Swear and by-pass all the middlemen.

With my success as a former co-owner of a construction firm (a general contracting company that built residential homes) and present position as the sole-owner of Chicilo & Associates, Inc., (a private consulting firm) I was confident that I had the knowledge and skills to succeed as a self-publisher. "After all," I thought, "building a book couldn't be that difficult, right?"

Well, I was right, in part. I have successfully published Pinky Swear, although it took more time and effort than I could have ever guessed it would. Fortunately, my instincts were right. My past experience was invaluable.

What I wasn't as prepared for was how much I loved the book building process. This new fork in the road both surprised and delighted me. And so, TreeHouse Ink's mission expanded -- to help other writers fulfill their dream of becoming published authors.
